Equine Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy for your horse can be beneficial for numerous reasons; ranging from post operative rehabilitaion to maintenance and improvements in performance. 

​

Common issues which can benefit from physiotherapy include;

  • Osteoarthtritis

  • Kissing Spines

  • Soft tissue injuries such as, muscle tears, strains, muscle loss etc.

  • Tendon/Ligament injuries

  • Neurological conditions

  • Pain -  head, neck, back

  • Sacroiliac Injuries

  • Reduced/ change in performance

IMPORTANT - Veterinary consent must be given before an appointment is made. Please download the vet and owner consent forms below. These can be emailed to the vet, no need to make an appointment.

Appointment Structure...

​

For every new appointment an initial assessment will be indertaken which will be slightly longer than follow up appointments. This includes;

​

  • Case history details

  • Discussion of presenting issues

  • Static and dynamic evaluation 

  • Range of motion testing

  • Palpation 

  • Treatment

  • Remedial Exercise Plan

​

Each of these aspects of the appointment will be carried out with care and tailored around the patient to ensure the best possible outcome.

Prices

  • Initial Assessment - 60 - 90 minutes - £50

  • Follow up appointment - approx. 60 minutes - £45

* There is a price increase from 1st June 2023 - Initial appointments - £55

                                                                       - Follow up - £50

(Please note  - follow up appointments must be within 6 weeks of initial appointment.)

* Discounts of £5 per animal are available if three or more animals are seen in the same session.
